In our modern times, Astrology has become an amusing and sometimes even constructive pastime for many people. Especially among people under thirty years old, astrology’s meaning and usefulness has become a source for intense contemplation. I have seen statements online suggesting Generation Z uses astrology more readily then any generation before them. Considering the number of websites, youtube channels, podcasts, social media pages and phone apps dedicated to the subject, almost all overflowing with eager users; this assumption seems apt. Scrolling through the comments left on these platforms, the reason for this intense usage will not be found; however, anyone might intuit the reason with little effort. Astrology has become a popular tool among this generation because it works well for the purpose they wish to use it for; that mostly being forecasting and internally appreciating their unique selves. While its true astrology, when correctly interpreted, will forecast cosmic trends and help to unravel the inner mysteries within the chart holder; it does not offer any evidence of the role will plays in directing our lives toward the circumstances we find ourselves in. Dr. T’Shaka, recognizing this limitation, has bridged astrology’s strengths and weaknesses by introducing to the forecasting process two Afrikan concepts; the Ka and the Ori. Additionally, when possible he has folded in known biographical information about the chart holder in order to fully appreciate the correctness of the chart interpretation and to draw out the choices made by the individual which led them to embody the aspects within their chart which they demonstrate through their actions and speech in the present moment. His contribution to advancing an Afrocentric Cosmology Based Astrological Interpretation Method is not just innovative but paradigm shifting. For this reason you should pay close attention to these episodes and the others on the astrology playlist.
