Sometime this summer I will began to published First Thought breakdowns for all past archived episodes. For those who are not aware of what exactly an Archived Episode is let me explain; it is any episode published before this blog began publishing First Thought breakdowns for each Episode, Rerun or New. There are over 150 archived episodes, right now my plan is to publish one Archive episode every week; the date I will began posting these is still to be determined but it will be after July 1st. Included with the archived episodes published directly on the Dr. Oba T’Shaka Show Youtube Channel, will be every interview Dr. T’Shaka participated in outside the channel, interviews that were not rebroadcast on the channel itself.
Why am I posting this update on the archival listings, because they will have a huge impact on the Complete Archive listing which you will find in the top right hand corner on this websites home page. Presently, each listing in that Complete Archive Listing includes 5 separate information categories; Episode number, Duration of the video, Video number for the year and title given to the video. Over the next couple months you’ll see a new information category added, this category will list the Blog Entry number and just like the episode number, a hyperlink will be inserted to enable easy access to the entry.
Right now my plan is to publish the Archive Episodes in their original order, however I don’t expect that plan to remain static throughout the entire process of publishing the older episodes. As you’ve undoubtedly noticed, most entries for the Making the Past Serve the Present Series has been inspired by older Episodes, making those episodes relevant to those reading the what ever post references them. For this reason I may start publishing each episode out of sequential order but in order of reference or maybe even order of desire (whatever episode I desire to publish that week, I’ll publish it). I’m not sure yet, but I am sure once publishing begins you’ll get to appreciate the wisdom dropped by Dr. Oba T’Shaka all over again.
One more note, I am not certain rather I will include video interviews Dr. T’Shaka conducted prior to his launching his own channel in these Archive listings or in the list for Completed Interviews for other channels, I may though because those interviews were how most of us were introduced to Dr. T’Shaka. I’ll make that decision sometime during 2026.
What are your thoughts on how I should structure the First Thoughts for the Archive listings? How often should I post them? And are you interested in reading First Thought Posts written for these archived episodes? I’d love to know what you think. Until later, Peace!
