FIRST THOUGHTS OF THE EPISODE IDEA: This is the fifth part in the present series that began the week Donald Trump was inaugurated. After providing a much needed view of the moves being made by the new administrated, Dr. T’Shaka moves on to discussing the influences that could be seen as contributing to the state of apathy within the Black Community. The Hostile Forces, a major theme in Dr. T’Shaka’s book “Integration Trap, Generation Gap” provide the back drop for this weeks presentation; though the major topic for discussion is limited to the impact Neoliberalism has had on black institutions, something many culturally well versed Afrikan-Americans know very little if anything about. This is not a slight nor a negative nod towards those Brothas and Sistas who have dedicated themselves to learning about our culture; it is mere fact. A fact that opens those community members up for manipulation by an enemy who hates their culture yet understands how to speak to those aspects within the culture that have been corrupted by the Maafa. Dr. T’Shaka, seemingly aware of this reality, uses our cultural awareness to speak about the “Choice between two cultures” that is now afflicting our people and white people.
