FIRST THOUGHTS OF THE EPISODE IDEA: “For those who consider themselves street wise, and could argue that the Democrats are no different then the Republicans; understand me – I am not a Democrat, I am not a Republican, I am not an Independent; I am a Revolutionary Pan-Afrikan Nationalist, and the first thing I look out for is the interest of my people – and so the main reason I was supporting Kamala Harris is not because I agree with her politics, she’s a moderate Democrat, but because she was positioned to have a chance to whip Trump. . . . .The presentation today is within the context of what we’re facing right now”. In his second livestream since Trump’s victory. Dr. T’Shaka uses three figures to build a meandering, yet powerfully centered conversation on our communities ability to build Black Power in the midst of struggling for a better world during some pretty dire times. Drawing on themes he first communicated in Episodes 067 (Build Black Power I), 068 (Building Black Power II), 073 (Rules for Building Black Power) and 090 (Systematizing the African Consciousness of Toussaint, Cabral and Ella Baker) – among others. he presents the necessity to build power structures in a period when power is systemically controlled and seemingly held away from the community as possible only if the consciousness of our people is properly aroused. This consciousness is connected to our ability to see our current situation clearly, as well as “knowing ourselves” completely, a common theme detailed in his earlier lectures and ultimately our enemies and their tactics as they unfold or before they can be dispatched.
