FIRST THOUGHTS OF THE EPISODE IDEA: Energy, rededication and passion! This return by Master Teach Oba T’Shaka, Professor Emeritus Afrikana Studies & Chief Foot-in-Ass Warrior for the movement for Afrikan Diasporic Independence and Global Human Rights; was a stunning example of clear sighted analysis and even clearer eyed vision for the future. Ultimately the title deceives, as the show ran too long for the topic suggested to be covered – though it is expected to be addressed during the next livestream, tentatively scheduled for November 24th, 2024. Instead the esteemed Master Teacher dove into the reasons V.P. Kamala Harris lost, the connection between her loss and the coming to an end of two previous reconstruction eras and (just for good measure) the connection between the rise of Jim Crow and the Hayes–Tillman compromise. This last point proves rather instructive since the same issues facing the South back then – a population whose demographic majority was shifting away from the white rulers to the enslaved blacks – is similar for today’s country.
