FIRST THOUGHT OF THE EPISODE IDEA: This is the inauguration episode for the Dr. Oba T’Shaka Show. Aside from the topic itself, which I will get to in a moment; note the uncertainty in the voice of Dr. T’Shaka. At 81 years old, he endeavored to start a youtube channel dedicated to sharing the wisdom he had gained throughout his life, with a new generation, many of which were not only not familiar with the intricacies with the movements he had participated in, but his name specifically. The level of courage he had to access to engage in this venture cannot be overlooked.

Based on the work Dr. T’Shaka has been engaged in for most of his adult life; “Freeing the Mind” so the rest could follow is a theme touched on in his books Return to the African Mother Principle and Integration Trap Generation Gap. From the need to Free the Mind to the instruments used for Freeing the mind (The Six-Fold Stages to Mental Freedom); this inaugural episode presents a foundational perspective for the show to build on.
